Third Thursday Arbor Day Event

Did you know that the Arbor Day Foundation has declared The City of Halsey an official Tree City?

What does this mean? This means Halsey has met the four different criteria to become a Tree City. These four criteria are: maintain a Tree Board, have a community Tree Ordinance, spend at least $2 per capita on urban forestry, and celebrate Arbor Day.

This year, our Arbor Day Celebration will be held on April 20th during Third Thursday. The City will have 6 different species of trees to give away to community members. Some of these trees include: Redtwig Dogwoods, Incense Cedars, Vine Maples, Big Leaf Maples, Douglas Firs, and White Oaks.

Stop by for Third Thursday and join your Mayor and Councilors Isom and McMillen to celebrate Arbor day this year!
